International Security Congress: Theory, Method, Application
The congress will be held on 19-20 September 2019 under the title of “International Security Congress: Theory, Method, Application” by the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy Institute of Security Sciences.
The acceptance process of the paper ended on 28 July 2019. The congress will be held under the following headings.
Extended Abstract Submission and Evaluation
- Congress applications will be made through the application form.
- The works submitted to the congress should not be presented or published anywhere before.
- The Congress is open to the participation of academicians, doctoral candidates and researchers in Turkey and abroad. The language of the congress is Turkish and English and simultaneous translation will be provided.
- Expanded abstracts should be prepared in the desired format and sent to ugkongre@jandarma.gov.tr as “doc- docx” format as an attached file by 28 July 2019.
- Extended abstracts should be prepared between 400-750 words in Turkish and English and including introduction, research methodology, methodology, contribution to literature and results.
- Expanded abstracts will be evaluated with “blind review” application considering criteria such as compliance with congress subjects and scientific conditions and originality of the study.
Publication of the Summary Booklet
- The book containing abstracts of accepted papers will be prepared in electronic format and will be published on the congress page.
Full Text Submission
- The full texts of the accepted and presented papers must be sent to ugkongre@jandarma.gov.tr as “doc-docx” in attached format in accordance with the spelling rules by October 26, 2019.
- Full text is not mandatory. However, papers not presented during the congress will not be considered.
- Full texts will be evaluated in accordance with the “blind review” system.
Poster Submission
Poster presentations in accordance with the main theme of the congress will be accepted by the Organizing Committee following the evaluation. The following points will be considered in the evaluation of the poster presentation.
- Poster presentations sent to the congress should not be presented or published before. Poster presentations can be in English or Turkish.
- Posters should be 70 x 100 cm in size.
- Times New Roman 24 font should be used as the font.
- The left, right, bottom and top edges of the paper should be separated by 2 cm.
- The name and logo of the institution / organization / university of the poster provider should be placed in the upper right corner and name of the Congress, logo of GCGA should be placed in the upper left corner.
- Titles should be at least 2 points larger and bolder than the font size used in the text.
- All authors' names, surnames and addresses will be specified and the name of the participant presenting the poster should be underlined. The e-mail address of the responsible author should be provided and should be written in 24 point Times New Roman.
- Citing a source in the text, figures, tables and references should be prepared by adopting APA-6 style.
