I want to study at GCGA, what should I do?
Individual applications are not accepted for international cadets. International cadets should contact the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard organizations of their country. To receive education at the Academy, your country must sign an agreement with the Republic of Turkey.

Can you give general information about GCGA and the trainings?
GCGA trains officers and non-commissioned officers to the Gendarmerie General Command and Coast Guard Command. In GCGA, all needs of the cadets (place, food, accommodation, etc.) are met by the State. In the GCGA, academic candidates are given four years of undergraduate level following the English preparatory class and non-commissioned officer candidates are given two years of associate level.

* Officer candidates;
- (4) years following the English preparatory class in the faculty,
- Officer Training Center (2) years,
- The Coast Guard Services class will be trained for one (1) year.

* NCO candidates;
- (2) years at the Vocational School,
- They will be trained for one year in NCO Training Center.

* (For Faculty) At the end of the training;
- Bachelor's Degree in Security Sciences and Public Administration for the gendarmerie services class and Officer's Diploma if they pass the qualification exam,
- Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering for the Coast Guard services class, Officer's Diploma if they pass the qualification exam,

* Graduates of Vocational School;
- Associate Diploma of Security Services for Gendarmerie services class, NCO Diploma if they pass the qualification exam,
- For Coast Guard NCOs, Associate Degree in Maritime Transportation and Management will be given and in case of passing the qualification exam, NCO will be given.

How is a cadet's day in GCGA?
The day starts at 06:00 in GCGA. After breakfast, academic and military courses begin. After the academic classes, cadets can play sports, participate in educational activities and team activities in sports branches. On Saturdays and Sundays, cadets can leave the Academy campus on leave.

What facilities are available on the GCGA Campus?
GCGA has facilities such as dormitories, classroom, convenience facilities, military training fields, shooting ranges, numerous astro pitches, sports facilities, stadiums, libraries, fitness halls, swimming pools, tennis courts, basketball and football fields. These facilities are offered for the benefit of cadets who represent the future.

How is the food at GCGA?
Turkish cuisine is one of the most advanced cuisines in the world with thousands of dishes and desserts. GCGA offers its cadets the best examples of Turkish cuisine in three meals a day. The meals offered to international cadets are the same as those of Turkish cadets. Meals are served according to the religious beliefs of the cadets.

Do I have to wear uniforms?
Yes, you do. You are wearing the same uniform as the Turkish cadets. International cadets carry the flags of their countries in their arms.

Can I benefit from weekend and official holidays?
Yes. Cadets are allowed on leave at weekends and public holidays. They can go back to their countries during the holidays given between the terms. In addition, international cadets can celebrate their national days at GCGA.

What are the documents required for the course/education?
The Certificate of Residence, if previously been found in Turkey.

How do I get to GCGA when I come to Turkey?
-First informing your travel information to our military attache in your country is important to plan your meeting.

- In the first visit to Turkey, he is welcomed by a tour director at airport, bus station or the train station and sent off to the country after graduation.

- When the cadet enters the country from a different city, GCGA provide guidance to the cadet.

Can I bring my family to Turkey during education?
The principles and conditions for bringing the family of international cadets are determined by the protocols and agreements signed with each country.

While I am in Turkey for education, how will health care for me and my family be carried out in Turkey?
Health transactions are carried out in accordance with the agreement / protocol made with each country and the procedures of national legislation.

While I am in Turkey for education, where will I reside?
The provision of accommodation for international cadets in military social facilities is ensured by the command of the education and training department, after being coordinated with the military social facilities and the command to which the place is requested, primarily to be met from the shift dormitories. Upon request, the commander who provides education and training is assisted in hiring hotels, pensions or houses.

The language of education is Turkish.
