GCGA trains officers and non-commissioned officers to the Gendarmerie General Command and Coast Guard Command. In GCGA, all needs of the cadets (place, food, accommodation, etc.) are met by the State. In the GCGA, academic candidates are given four years of undergraduate level following the English preparatory class and non-commissioned officer candidates are given two years of associate level.
* Officer candidates;
- (4) years following the English preparatory class in the faculty,
- Officer Training Center (2) years,
- The Coast Guard Services class will be trained for one (1) year.
* NCO candidates;
- (2) years at the Vocational School,
- They will be trained for one year in NCO Training Center.
* (For Faculty) At the end of the training;
- Bachelor's Degree in Security Sciences and Public Administration for the gendarmerie services class and Officer's Diploma if they pass the qualification exam,
- Bachelor's Degree in Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering for the Coast Guard services class, Officer's Diploma if they pass the qualification exam,
* Graduates of Vocational School;
- Associate Diploma of Security Services for Gendarmerie services class, NCO Diploma if they pass the qualification exam,
- For Coast Guard NCOs, Associate Degree in Maritime Transportation and Management will be given and in case of passing the qualification exam, NCO will be given.
