Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy Library has started to serve with open shelf system as Gendarmerie Officer School, Gendarmerie NCO Class School and Specialist Gendarmerie School Library since 1997.
Since 2005, it has served as the "Section of Library and Museum" within the Gendarmerie Training Command.
With the establishment of the Gendarmerie and the Coast Guard Academy in 2016, it continues to serve as a Section of Library with a 140-seat seating study room, internet hall, 44,500 materials (books, magazines, other documents)..
The Section of Library has continued its activities as Deputy Director of the Library until July 25, 2016, under the Gendarmerie Training Command. İt continues its activities as The Section of Library by being connected to the Vice President Responsible For Academic Activities with the establishment of the Presidency of the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy with Decree-law No. 669 which entered into force after being promulgated on 25 July 2016
OUR PURPOSE
As the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy Library, our aim is to support the education and training programs of our academy, to fulfill academic research needs, to enable researchers to benefit from our library by closely following the developments in information technologies with the understanding of traditional librarianship.

Our mission is to contribute to the personal and academic development of students, trainees and staff of the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy, which are our target audience, to speed up the access to the information and documents they need, and to present them to the target audience by following and purchasing newly published books and documents.
