Hürriyet Gazetesi yazarı Ahmet Hakan, Bütün Kadınlar KADES'i indirsin başlıklı köşe yazısında KADES Uygulamasının önemine vurgu yaptı.
Ahmet Hakan'ın yazışı şu şekilde:

Dün Hürriyet’in manşetinde Fevzi Kızılkoyun’un bir haberi vardı. Haberde kadına şiddetle mücadelede elektronik kelepçe takılan kişilerin izlendiği merkez anlatılıyordu.Haberin ayrıntılarını okuyunca...Bütün kadınlar KADESi indirsin
Bu merkeze güvenim arttı. Umutlandım.Fakat haberde benim asıl dikkatimi KADES’le ilgili bir bilgi çekti.
 
Haberde Kadına Karşı Şiddetle Mücadele Şube Müdürü Sibel Özdemir, şöyle bir tavsiyede bulunuyordu:
 
Tüm kadınlar KADES uygulamasını cep telefonlarına indirsinler. Yakınlarından görmeseler de sokakta şiddete uğrayabilirler. Tek tuşa basarak hayatları kurtulur.
 
Bu tavsiyeden şunu anlıyoruz:
KADES, sadece eşinden, yakınından şiddet görme ihtimali olan kadınlarla ilgili bir uygulama değil. Sokakta gezerken sapığın tekinin bir kadına musallat olma durumunda da devreye giriyor. Ya da güvercin tedirginliğiyle caddelerde dolaşan kadınların da imdadına yetişiyor.
 
Sevgili kadınlar!
Eşimden, yakınımdan şiddet görme ihtimalim yok, benim KADES’le hiç işim olmaz demeyin.
Sokaklarda daha güvenli bir şekilde dolaşabilmek için KADES’i mutlaka cep telefonlarınıza indirin.
